Year 3

We would like to wish your children a warm welcome to Year 3 and we are all very excited about the year ahead. Year 3 is a fantastic year of learning for your children and we know that they will enjoy their first year in Key Stage 2.   

 Please see Y3 curriculum overview below to see what we will be learning.

Children will get weekly home learning every Friday, to be completed by the Thursday of the next week. They will be given tasks from each subject area.

Please share reading books with your child every day, taking turns reading to them and for them to read to you. Your child will receive a book bag, a reading book and a Reading record for you to make comments in about their reading. They will also bring home words from their ‘Read Write Inc’ Phonics session to practise reading at home.
