PSHE Curriculum

At Owler Brook Primary School, the PSHE curriculum has been carefully planned to allow pupils to develop a wide range of necessary life skills. The PSHE curriculum also helps to promote our school’s core values: aim high, respect all, be kind, be safe, be a team player, be honest and have your say. In all aspects of school life, PSHE is embedded in all that we do so we can help our pupils become responsible, confident, independent members of society.

Our PSHE curriculum has been established to help children to develop both personally and socially whilst also promoting their physical and mental development. In addition, children learn to tackle social and cultural issues that are part of growing up and learn how to help and treat others in a first aid emergency. We provide children with the opportunities to learn about rights and responsibilities and to appreciate what it means to be a member of a diverse society. We aim to equip children with the knowledge to use the internet appropriately and keep themselves safe whilst doing so.
